With the rapid growth of cloud computing and decentralized systems, peer-to-peer (P2P) cloud environments have gained significant attention due to their scalability, flexibility, and cost efficiency. However, ensuring secure communication in such distributed systems remains a major challenge, particularly in terms of authentication and key agreement among participating nodes. Traditional security mechanisms often rely on centralized authorities, which contradicts the decentralized nature of P2P systems and introduces single points of failure. This project proposes an authentication and key agreement scheme based on enormous identity for secure communication in peer-to-peer cloud environments. The system leverages identitybased cryptography to eliminate the need for certificate management, simplifying the authentication process. Each user or node is assigned a unique identity that is used to generate cryptographic keys securely. The proposed scheme ensures mutual authentication between communicating parties and establishes a secure session key for data exchange. The methodology incorporates lightweight cryptographic operations to reduce computational overhead, making it suitable for large-scale P2P networks. It also provides resistance against common security attacks such as replay attacks, man-in-the-middle attacks, and impersonation attacks. Experimental analysis demonstrates that the proposed approach achieves high security with improved efficiency compared to traditional methods. This work contributes to enhancing trust and security in decentralized cloud systems, enabling secure and efficient communication among distributed nodes.
