Abstract

In the modern era of e-commerce and logistics, efficient courier management and realtime
tracking systems have become essential for ensuring timely and reliable delivery
services. Traditional courier systems often rely on manual processes, which are prone to
delays, data inconsistencies, and lack of transparency. To address these challenges, this
paper proposes a web-based intelligent courier management and tracking system
developed using the Django framework. The system is designed to automate parcel
handling, improve operational efficiency, and provide real-time updates to users,
employees, and administrators.The proposed system integrates multiple modules
including user authentication, courier booking, parcel tracking, employee management,
and feedback analysis. Each parcel is assigned a unique tracking ID, allowing customers
to monitor the status and location of their shipment at any time. Employees can update
delivery status and current location dynamically, which is reflected instantly in the
system. The integration of Google Maps enhances visualization by providing locationbased
tracking of parcels, thereby improving user experience.The system utilizes a
MySQL database for efficient data storage and retrieval, ensuring scalability and
reliability. Feedback collected from users is analyzed using graphical techniques,
enabling administrators to evaluate service quality and make data-driven decisions.
Additionally, the system supports image uploads for parcel verification, enhancing
security and accountability.Security is a key consideration in the system design.
Authentication mechanisms ensure that only authorized users can access specific
functionalities. Input validation and controlled database interactions protect against
common vulnerabilities such as SQL injection and unauthorized data manipulation.
