The quick pace of development of digital technologies has altered the healthcare sector, in particular, patient engagement and service management. A patient portal refers to an online platform with a high level of security which enables the patient to handle doctor visitations, see their medical record detail, as well as manage information regarding billing and invoice. The presented research paper is devoted to the construction and the functionality of a patient portal to organize doctor visits and invoices. The paper identifies the way in which this type of system makes the communication between the patients and health care providers better and simplifies the work of the administrators, as well as increases the transparency of the billing procedure. The proposed system is expected to offer an efficient, user-friendly, and reliable system to patients and hospitals, thus resulting into an improved service delivery to the patients.
