For fire emergencies in hazardous environments, speedy observation with minimal human contact is required. A smart firefighting rover design using Arduino mega 2560 is proposed in this paper. The rover features flame detection, MQ-2 smoke/gas sensing, DHT11 temperature/humidity sensing, water-level sensing, manual control via Bluetooth, GPS location, local LCD/buzzer alarm and relay pump support. Built-in logic generates classification of the state as SAFE, LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH, and provides an indicative fire type and a programd extinguisher recommendation. The experimental outputs include, initialisation, representative fire states, environmental monitoring, Bluetooth status communication, GPS location reporting, manual motion control and pump activation on flame detection. The evaluation is not statistical, as there is no labelled fire dataset and it does not perform multiple trials to estimate accuracy, precision, recall or F1-score
