Abstract

The compensation system plays a vital role in influencing employee motivation, job satisfaction, productivity, and organizational performance. This study focuses on analyzing the compensation system followed at Hetero Drugs and its impact on employees. The main objective of the study is to examine employee satisfaction regarding salary, incentives, bonuses, allowances, and other financial and non-financial benefits provided by the organization. The study also aims to understand the effectiveness of the existing compensation practices in retaining employees and improving their performance. The research is based on both primary and secondary data. Primary data was collected through a structured questionnaire administered to employees of the organization, while secondary data was gathered from company reports, journals, articles, and websites related to compensation management. Percentage analysis and simple statistical tools were used for interpreting the collected data. The findings of the study indicate that most employees are satisfied with the compensation policies and benefits offered by the organization. The study reveals that fair salary structure, incentives, rewards, and welfare measures positively influence employee morale and work efficiency. However, a few employees expressed the need for improvements in performance-based incentives and periodic revision of salary packages to match industry standards. The study concludes that an effective compensation system helps in enhancing employee commitment, motivation, and organizational growth. It also suggests that the company should continue improving its compensation strategies to maintain employee satisfaction and competitive advantage in the pharmaceutical industry.
