Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic fundamentally transformed workplace practices by accelerating the adoption of remote work across organizations worldwide. In the information technology sector, remote and hybrid work models became essential for ensuring business continuity while safeguarding employee health and well-being. As organizations adapted to these new working arrangements, Human Resource (HR) practices evolved to support employee engagement, performance management, communication, collaboration, and work-life balance in virtual work environments. This study focuses on the impact of remote work on employee performance through an analysis of post-pandemic HR practices at HCL Technologies. The research aims to evaluate how remote work influences employee productivity, job satisfaction, work-life balance, communication effectiveness, collaboration, and overall performance. A quantitative research approach is adopted using structured questionnaires to collect data from employees working under remote or hybrid work models. The study examines key factors such as digital collaboration tools, HR support initiatives, employee engagement programs, performance evaluation systems, flexibility, and organizational communication in the postpandemic workplace. The findings are expected to demonstrate that effective HR practices, combined with appropriate technological support and flexible work policies, significantly enhance employee performance, motivation, and job satisfaction in remote work environments. The study also highlights the challenges associated with remote work, including communication barriers, employee isolation, work-life boundary management, and performance monitoring, while identifying strategies to overcome these issues. Overall, the research concludes that well-designed post-pandemic HR practices play a crucial role in optimizing remote work effectiveness, strengthening employee performance, and supporting sustainable organizational growth at HCL Technologies.
