A Unified Web-Based Framework for Intelligent Apparel Retail and Customer Purchase Management

The rapid expansion of e-commerce has significantly transformed the retail industry by enabling customers to purchase products conveniently through web-based platforms. Among various online retail sectors, apparel shopping has experienced substantial growth due to increasing consumer demand for easy product discovery, secure purchasing, and efficient order management. This paper presents the design and implementation of a web-based Online Apparel Shopping System that streamlines the complete shopping process for both customers and administrators. The proposed system provides dedicated modules for product management, user registration and authentication, apparel search based on category, brand, and style, shopping cart management, order placement, payment validation, order tracking, and customer feedback. Administrators are provided with facilities to manage product inventories, monitor customer orders, and review user feedback through a centralized interface. The system incorporates input validation mechanisms, including card number verification during the checkout process, to improve transaction reliability without relying on external payment gateways. The application is developed using Python, Django, and MySQL, providing an efficient, scalable, and user-friendly platform for apparel retail management. Experimental evaluation demonstrates that the proposed system simplifies online purchasing, reduces manual effort in managing orders, improves shopping convenience, and enhances overall customer experience while supporting effective inventory and order administration for retailers.
