The rapid growth of social media has significantly transformed the way consumers gather information and make purchasing decisions. Among various social networking platforms, the Facebook has emerged as an influential medium for marketing, advertising, and consumer engagement. This study examines the impact of social media on online purchasing decisions among students who use Facebook. The research aims to understand how factors such as online advertisements, product reviews, peer recommendations, influencer content, and promotional campaigns on Facebook influence students' buying behavior. The study adopts a descriptive research approach and collects primary data through structured questionnaires administered to student respondents. The findings indicate that Facebook plays a vital role in shaping students' awareness, interest, and purchase intentions. Social interactions, electronic word-of-mouth, and targeted advertisements significantly affect students' perceptions of products and services. The study also reveals that students frequently rely on information shared on Facebook before making online purchasing decisions, as they perceive peer opinions and user-generated content to be more trustworthy than traditional advertisements. The research concludes that social media, particularly Facebook, has become an essential platform influencing students' online purchasing behavior by providing easy access to product information, reviews, and recommendations. The study highlights the importance of effective social media marketing strategies for businesses seeking to engage young consumers and influence their purchase decisions in the digital marketplace.
