The rapid growth of digital payment systems has transformed the way consumers conduct financial transactions. The increasing adoption of Unified Payments Interface (UPI), mobile wallets, internet banking, debit cards, and credit cards has significantly influenced consumer spending patterns. This study aims to examine the impact of digital payment systems on consumer spending behavior, including convenience, purchasing frequency, impulsive buying, and financial management. The research adopts a descriptive research design based on secondary data collected from published journals, government reports, books, and reliable online sources. The findings indicate that digital payment systems encourage faster transactions, enhance convenience, improve financial inclusion, and increase online shopping activities. However, concerns regarding cybersecurity, privacy, and overspending remain significant challenges. The study concludes that digital payment systems have positively influenced consumer spending behavior while emphasizing the need for consumer awareness regarding responsible financial management and digital security.
