The rapid expansion of digital healthcare services—telemedicine platforms, electronic health records (EHRs), mobile health applications, and hospital patient portals—has transformed the way patients access and experience care. Alongside this growth, the volume of sensitive personal health information transmitted and stored digitally has increased sharply, making data privacy a central determinant of patient trust and, consequently, patient satisfaction. This paper investigates the relationship between data privacy practices and patient satisfaction in digital healthcare settings. Primary data was collected through a structured questionnaire administered to 150 patients using digital healthcare platforms in Hyderabad, while secondary data was drawn from regulatory frameworks, industry reports, and peerreviewed literature. The study applies descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analysis to examine how privacy assurance, transparency of data usage, consent mechanisms, and perceived data security influence patient satisfaction. Findings indicate a strong positive relationship between perceived data privacy and overall patient satisfaction, with consent transparency and breachprevention measures emerging as the strongest predictors. The study concludes with recommendations for healthcare providers and digital health platforms to strengthen privacy governance, adopt encryption and consent-management technologies, and improve patient communication regarding data handling practices.
