Abstract

Working capital management is a crucial aspect of financial management that ensures the smooth functioning of an organization by maintaining an appropriate balance between current assets and current liabilities. The present study, titled "A Study on Working Capital at Nestlé Pvt. Ltd.", examines the company's working capital practices and evaluates their impact on operational efficiency, liquidity, and profitability. The study focuses on analyzing various components of working capital, including cash management, inventory management, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. The research is based on secondary data collected from the company's annual reports, financial statements, journals, books, and other published sources. Financial tools and techniques such as ratio analysis, trend analysis, and comparative analysis are used to assess the effectiveness of working capital management at Nestlé Pvt. Ltd. The study aims to identify the company's ability to meet its short-term obligations while ensuring efficient utilization of resources. The findings indicate that effective working capital management plays a significant role in maintaining financial stability and enhancing organizational performance. Proper management of inventory, receivables, and cash flows enables the company to sustain liquidity and improve profitability. The study concludes that maintaining an optimum level of working capital is essential for the long-term growth and operational success of Nestlé Pvt. Ltd. and recommends continuous monitoring and strategic planning to achieve greater financial efficiency.
